@aardrian sorry I should have been clearer the first time, I would never want to suggest that the links be hidden permanently; that was just an idea off the top of my head not a fully baked solution

@aardrian it’s definitely very complex, although visually hidden links aren’t a WCAG violation if used properly; like skip links where the link appears when it receives focus. Using links as a hack to show relationships between complex visual data isn’t perfect be would still be better than what’s there now
@aardrian I wonder if using visually hidden anchor links for the pathways in a flow chart could work - at the least it would allow a user to navigate the choices available. I can’t think of a single good way to provide an accessible overview of the whole thing though
@aardrian I’ve used both the LaTeX accessibility package and R in the past to create flowcharts, but neither is exactly “easy to use” and you still have to plan how the resulting infographic will be accessible
@WebAxe you’re not wrong but I can see some people following this as a rule taking it away when it is needed; it’d be better if devs understood what ARIA is and how HTML actually works
@marramgrass that’s a pretty good summary of my 2022 as well
@marramgrass it’s great to login after a long hiatus and a wild marramgrass appears :) How you doing?
@ohBananaJoe here's a great motivational video to watch www.youtube.com/watch
@cm yes, I’ve used it in Notes and Airmail to write longer form stuff. My handwriting is much slower (and much messier) than my typing. There are a few scribble shortcuts to delete and insert text that work well really well, there’s a tutorial that shows when you first dock the pencil after installing, spent about 15 min trying to discover them on my own before that happened and there’re so intuitive I’d found most of them

@manton I was thinking about resubcribing but I see Github backup is no longer available. Any ETA on that?
@jl_siewert On iPhone it's great, on iPad Pro it's also great but the keyboard shortcuts that map to gestures like Spotlight Search or Home seem to be tempermental. I'm intersted in what you've heard.
@manton Ah, thanks
@manton This might seem like a dumb question, but where do I see badges?
@EddieHinkle that’s great, thanks! I’ve been following along with the commits but can’t manage to build it myself, but that’s on me and my knowledge of Xcode
@tibz He got me...

@macgreg I cracked my time capsule open and removed a huge amount of dust and fluff, it's been working great again ever since
@amit I went down a similar route but couldn't find a hosted service that have everything I needed. I may just be fussy 🤷♂️
@amit My blog is using Known so I'm just creating a bookmark type post and setting it private. I've also got a microsub server Aperture set as syndication endpoint and send it there to a Read Later channel
@marramgrass And of course, twice the work!
@amit With Known I've got a custom feed that I use for micro.blog that filters out some of the noise and reformats posts, based on a great plugin by @cleverdevil

@amit I've started saving read later articles as private blog posts with the hope of doing something clever and useful with them in the future
